Early Life and Academic Pursuits
Born Earven Dwayne Adway on February 1, 1969, in Saginaw, Michigan, Adway spent his early childhood pursuing both academic and athletic interests. He was a basketball scholarship recipient to Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, where he pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering. Furthering his education with a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University, Adway got interested for action, a passion that would define his future path.
Transition to Acting
At Georgia State University, Adway enrolled in an acting class that fueled his interest in the performing arts. He decided to pursue acting professionally after watching Denzel Washington’s performance in “Mo’ Better Blues.” He trained further at Atlanta’s Alliance Theater, taking on roles in several classic plays, including “Macbeth,” “Othello,” and “Dutchman and The Slave,” laying a strong foundation for his acting career.
Breakthrough in Film
Adway’s transition to film was marked by notable performances that showcased his versatility. In 2004, he starred as Agent Dylan in “First Daughter” alongside Katie Holmes and Michael Keating. Later that same year, he played the role of Jerome in “Soul Plane,” a comedy featuring Tom Arnold, Kevin Hart, and Snoop Dogg. These roles showed Adway could adapt to diverse genres and characters.
Television Appearances
Adway’s TV work also includes guest appearances in popular series, which have allowed him to demonstrate his acting range. He has appeared in “JAG,” “Sliders,” “ER,” “NYPD Blue,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Close to Home,” and “CSI: Miami.” His recurring role as Officer Keith Macklin in “Close to Home” further solidified his presence on the small screen.

Outside of on-screen roles, Adway has lent his voice to several projects like “50 Cent: Bulletproof,” where he voiced the character K-Dog. His distinct voice has also been featured in commercials for notable brands like CK One, Chevrolet, and UPS, showcasing his versatility in the industry.
